Job Summary

Amylu Foods LLC is seeking a reliable and experienced CDL A Truck Driver to join our team. This position is responsible for the safe and timely transport of goods between our internal and external shipping and receiving docks, local customers, cold storage facilities , and our sister location in Milwaukee . Additionally, the driver will assist with truck spotting , moving trailers within our shipping and receiving area to support efficient loading and unloading operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a commitment to safety, and excellent driving skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a commercial motor vehicle in compliance with DOT regulations and company policies.
• Transport and deliver products locally to customers , cold storage facilities , and between Amylu Foods and our sister location in Milwaukee .
• Assist with truck spotting by moving trailers within Amylu Foods' shipping and receiving area to facilitate loading and unloading.
• Ensure timely and accurate deliveries while maintaining product integrity, especially for temperature-sensitive goods.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and report any maintenance needs.
• Maintain accurate logs of working hours and driving activities using ELDs (Electronic Logging Devices).
• Load and unload cargo as necessary, ensuring proper handling and securing of freight.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, load planners, and warehouse personnel.
• Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Monitor and maintain proper temperature controls when transporting refrigerated or frozen products.
• Provide excellent customer service and represent the company professionally.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CDL A Truck Driver.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety procedures.
• Experience handling refrigerated/frozen freight is preferred.
• Experience with truck spotting or yard jockey duties is a plus.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs. as required.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in food transportation or refrigerated freight.
• Forklift certification is a plus.
• Familiarity with local and regional routes, including Milwaukee.
