A large hospital in Houston is seeking an EPIC Interface Developer
Qualifications and Requirements:
• Certifications:
o Bridges Certification (required).
• Experience:
o Proven experience with EPIC systems, including Nova Notes and cloud migrations.
o Previous hospital or healthcare industry experience is strongly preferred.
• Technical Skills:
o Strong knowledge of HL7 and FHIR healthcare data standards.
o Familiarity with integration engines and environments such as Iguana.
o Understand HIPAA compliance and security requirements.
• Additional Skills:
o Ability to troubleshoot and resolve interface-related issues efficiently.
o Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience managing upgrades and migrations within EPIC systems.
Key Responsibilities:
• Interface Development and Maintenance:
o Develop and maintain system interfaces using integration engines.
o Write and maintain scripts to support interface development and integration processes.
o Integrate external APIs into existing systems to enable seamless communication.
• Standards Compliance and Testing:
o Work with healthcare data standards such as HL7 and FHIR to facilitate data exchange between systems.
o Ensure compliance with HL7 standards and HIPAA regulations.
