About Flashpoint Venture Capital

Flashpoint Venture Capital is a tech-focused investor specializing in US and global software companies, with investments ranging from $1M to $25M per company. Our Venture Capital arm mostly targets early growth B2B software businesses with $2M to $10M in ARR upon entry. Key investment domains include hospitality, prop/construction tech, IT healthcare, B2B fintech, supply chain, and developer tools.

With our international presence spanning from New York, London, Tel Aviv, Limassol, Budapest, Riga, and Warsaw, Flashpoint has 50+ active portfolio partnerships and 20+ successful exits, including Chess.com (acquired by General Atlantic), Shazam (acquired by Apple), Marketman (acquired by PSG Equity), and Comeet (acquired by Boathouse).

We are looking for an Analyst to join our New York office and become a key member of our dynamic international team. Flashpoint is a very flat organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Deal Sourcing: Identify and evaluate early-stage companies for potential investment.
• Investment Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of opportunities, including financial modeling and market research.
• Due Diligence: Lead and support comprehensive commercial due diligence processes.
• Portfolio Value Creation: Collaborate with portfolio companies to enhance their strategy, finance, sales, marketing, and other critical functions.
• Exit Strategies: Assist in planning and executing exit strategies for portfolio companies.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in venture capital, investment banking, financial research, corporate finance, or audit at a major consulting or investment banking firm, or within a Big 4 firm.
• Advanced certifications (e.g., CFA, MBA) or education from a top-tier institution are highly desirable.

Technical Skills:

• Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, understand enterprise valuation
• Solid understanding of software business models and tech market dynamics.
• Comfortable analyzing and executing across various capital structures
• Understand key deal terms negotiation (term sheet, legal docs)
• A plus if you can code your own python parser (welcome to AI era)

• Self-motivated, intellectually curious, and highly responsive.
• A team-player, eager to contribute and grow within a fast-paced environment.
• Fluent in English (additional European languages are a plus).
• Strong persuasion skills
